Culture notes
Note:
Frank Hill's specimen number LYN 16909 is linked to two PDD specimens, PDD 69490 and PDD 70680.
The PDD 70680 specimen is a dried culture (=ICMP 13749) and was labelled as LYN 16909 by Frank Hill, but may have been mislabelled by Frank. PDD 70680 and its ICMP 13749 culture is a Tiarosporella sp. both genetically and morphologically. It does not match the dried specimen also labelled as LYN 16909 (PDD 69490, Coleophoma camelliae). Perhaps the ICMP 13749 culture was actually grown from PDD 69412 (LYN 16490), Tiarosporella ex Desmoschoenus? make more sense biologically.
